Eating Disorders can be very serious and sometimes long lasting. Sometimes a person with an eating disorder may be doing fairly well with food issues and not be binging or purging, and then go into phases of binging and purging as much as many times a day. Often this changes with issues currently in one's life, resurfacing of memories, or experiencing dreams of troubling memories. We feel that it is important that you learn about eating disorders, so that you can understand why you have an eating disorder and what healing alternatives and resources there are for you. Attending support groups and reading books and/or information on websites can be very helpful for you in understanding and overcoming bulimia and eating disorders. It is not uncommon to be doing fairly good with food issues and then find yourself back in the eating disorder phase. It is important that you NOT feel guilty, but just keep trying your best and congratulating yourself when you do well. Attending support groups can be very helpful and we have a list of Eating Disorder and Bulimia Support Groups on our homepage. Additional good resources are listed below.
